Privacy Policy.
Please review this policy in full before using the services provided by WORKTAP.
At WORKTAP (“WORKTAP”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), the protection of your personal data, privacy, and confidentiality is a fundamental priority.
This Privacy Policy, together with our Terms of Use and any referenced documents, outlines the legal basis upon which any personal data you provide to us—or that we collect from you—will be processed.
It is important that you read this policy carefully to understand:
– what types of personal information we collect,
– how we use that information,
– under what circumstances we may share it with third parties, and
– what rights you hold in relation to the personal data you submit to us.
By accessing WORKTAP’s website or any of its associated domains (the “Website”), by using the WORKTAP application (the “App”), or by engaging with any of the services available through the Website or App (collectively, the “Services”), you acknowledge and, where required, consent to the data handling practices detailed in this policy.
Our Services may include links to third-party platforms or websites. If you choose to follow such links, please be aware that these external services are governed by their own privacy policies. WORKTAP does not accept any responsibility or liability for how these third-party services handle or process your personal data. We strongly advise that you review their privacy terms before submitting any personal information to them.
Through our Services, you may be connected with Job Seekers, Jobs, or Employers, as applicable. This connection allows you to search for, browse, and communicate directly with relevant parties. Additionally, WORKTAP utilizes automated matching processes that rely on algorithmic logic to help identify and suggest the most relevant Job Seekers, Jobs, or Employers, based on the data you have submitted and the criteria set by users on the Platform. This may result in certain decisions being made automatically—for instance, job visibility may be limited to Job Seekers whose qualifications align with those required by the Employer.
To ensure transparency and fairness in such automated processes, we have implemented safeguards designed to protect your legal rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests. Where automated decisions are made that may significantly affect you, you have the right to challenge any automated decisions and to request human review or intervention where appropriate. You may contact us at hello.worktap@gmail.com to exercise these rights. We provide meaningful information about the logic involved in our matching algorithms and the potential consequences for you.
Alongside algorithmic matching, we may also employ manual methods to suggest relevant matches based on our internal assessments. These manual recommendations are intended to assist, not act on your behalf, and no application or contact will be initiated without your explicit knowledge or consent.
Information We May Collect
We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
1. Information you provide directly to us:
You may be required to submit information when you:
– complete forms on our Website or App, or correspond with us by phone, email, or other channels;
– register for access to our Services;

– report issues or request support related to the Website, App, or Services;
– participate in surveys we conduct for research purposes (note that participation in such surveys is voluntary).
For clarity, any reference to “your data” in this Privacy Policy includes data relating to third parties that you provide to us. If you submit personal information about someone else, you confirm that you have obtained their explicit consent to do so.
Depending on your interaction with the Services, the information we may request from you includes, but is not limited to:
– your full name, address, date of birth, email address, and phone number;
– images, videos, or audio recordings;

All data you submit is processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
2. Information We Collect About You Automatically
Each time you visit the WORKTAP Website or use the App, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage-related data, including:
– Device-Specific Information: This may include hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (such as UDID or IDFA), and mobile network details.
– Technical Information: We may collect details about your computer or device, such as IP address, browser type, and operating system. Additionally, we may capture geolocation data (e.g. city, postcode, latitude/longitude), either through your consent to location sharing or inferred from your IP address. This information is used for system diagnostics, performance analytics, and to enhance Service delivery.
– Usage and Visit Details: This includes information such as browser fingerprinting data, your interaction with the Website or App (e.g., full URL clickstream, entry and exit points, page visits and durations), as well as behavioral data like scrolling activity, clicks, and mouse movements.
This data helps us monitor usage patterns, optimize performance, and improve the overall functionality and user experience of the Platform.
Information We Receive from Other Sources
In the course of delivering our Services, we may receive personal information about you from third-party sources. This is intended to facilitate your use of the Platform and ensure secure operation. For example, if you access the WORKTAP App via third-party services such as Facebook or Google, we may collect data made available through your account with those providers. Additionally, we may receive verification or security-related information from services like Telesign, which conducts safety checks on phone numbers you submit to us.
Information We May Collect About Others
We may also process personal data related to other individuals that you provide to us. This includes, but is not limited to, information submitted through forms on the Website or App, or shared via email. Such data may include ratings, feedback, or reviews that you leave about other users—whether Job Seekers or Employers—with whom you have interacted. All such information is treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
How We Use Your Information and Legal Basis for Processing

Exports Outside the EEA
Your personal data may be accessed by personnel or service providers located in, transferred to, or stored in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), where data protection laws may not offer the same level of protection as those within the EEA. Regardless of the destination—or whether the recipient is an employee or external contractor—WORKTAP applies the same data protection safeguards that we use within the EEA.
Some non-EEA countries have been recognized by the European Commission as providing data protection standards that are essentially equivalent to those of the EEA. In such cases, no additional measures are necessary to transfer personal data.
For countries that have not received such approval, we will either:
– obtain your explicit consent prior to transferring your data, or
– use the European Commission’s approved standard contractual clauses, which impose binding data protection obligations on the data recipient.
In some cases, applicable data protection law may permit such transfers without formal safeguards. If you would like more information about the specific measures in place to protect your data during international transfers, please contact us directly.
How Long We Retain Your Personal Data
We retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to comply with legal, regulatory, contractual, accounting, or reporting obligations, and always in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
The retention period for each category of personal data depends on:
– The nature and sensitivity of the data;
– The specific purposes for which it is processed;
– The legal or regulatory retention requirements that apply;
– The ongoing necessity of the data for the provision of our Services or for the defense or exercise of legal claims.
When personal data is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, or when you request its erasure and there is no longer a legal ground for its retention, we will securely delete or anonymize it in accordance with our data retention and deletion policies. If immediate deletion is not possible (for example, because the data is stored in backup archives), we will ensure that the data is securely stored, isolated from further processing, and deleted as soon as technically feasible.
You have the right to request further information about our specific retention periods for different categories of personal data, or to request the erasure of your data where applicable. Please contact us at hello.worktap@gmail.com for more information.
Your Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), you are entitled to a range of rights concerning your personal data. You may exercise any of these rights by contacting us at hello.worktap@gmail.com.
Depending on the circumstances, your rights may include:
Right
Details
Right of Access
You have the right to request confirmation as to whether we are processing your personal data. Where that is the case, you are entitled to access the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification
We aim to keep your personal information accurate and up to date. If you believe any of the data we hold is incorrect or incomplete, you may request its correction. You can also update most of your details directly within the WORKTAP App. If changes are required, please notify us so we can rectify the data promptly.
Right to erasure / ‘Right to be forgotten’
You can request that we delete all of your personal data. We will comply without undue delay unless legal or legitimate grounds require us to retain certain information. If such grounds exist, we will inform you in writing.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request that we pause the processing of your personal data at any time. This may be requested, for example, while we verify the accuracy of the data or review an objection.
Right to data portability
You may request a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. You also have the right to ask us to transmit that data to another data controller, where technically feasible and where processing is based on consent or contract.
Right to complain
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD) at www.aepd.es. However, we encourage you to contact us first with any concerns so we can seek to resolve the issue directly.
WORKTAP does not typically charge a fee when you submit a request to exercise your data protection rights. However, if your requests are excessive, repetitive, or clearly unfounded, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable administrative fee to process them—or, in certain cases, to decline the request altogether.
If you request a copy of the personal data we are processing, we will provide the first copy free of charge. Any additional copies may incur a fee based on administrative costs.
Please note: requesting deletion of your personal data or restricting our ability to process it may affect your access to the Services. In some cases, this may prevent you from using certain features—or the entirety—of the WORKTAP Platform.
If you request that we rectify, delete, or limit the processing of your personal data, we may inform any third parties with whom your data has previously been shared. That said, such third parties may have the right to retain and process the data independently, in accordance with their own legal obligations or legitimate interests.
